Zinnia is a 100% mill dyed wool fabric. My new favorite, a red and orange plaid woven with threads of soft gray.
Add this lovely plaid to your stash to have it ready for your next project. Fabulous for flowers and berries. Use it with other reds to "spark" up and add a splash of pizzazz to your design. Use for barns, houses, Santa's coat or snowman mittens. If you are making wool quilts, this is a red you would want to include. Pincushions, bags, doll clothes, table runners, vests...so many ideas.
Available in either a fat quarter yard, shown in the photos, or in a fat eighth yard.
Fat quarters are approx. 15" x 28". Fat eighths are approx. 13" x 15".
This wool has been washed and dried by me making it ready for rug hooking, applique, quilting and many other sewing projects. It is a medium weight and has a wonderful soft hand. For rug hooking it will work for all cuts from #6 through wide cuts.

Cotton Monks Cloth is 100% cotton woven with two warp threads and two weft threads has 12 x 13 holes per inch. It is great for hooking with all cuts of wool, from fine to primitive cuts. It is less expensive than primitive linen.
Primitive linen is 100% linen, the most durable backing fabric. It is more expensive than other backing fabrics. The evenly spaced weave of 12 x 12 threads per inch makes it great for all primitive cuts, #7 and wider.
Beginners usually have an easier time hooking with linen.
Both are fine and long lasting choices for the backing to support and make your hooked rug durable. I use both types, but usually choose linen for larger projects.
Yes, if the difference is $3.00 or more. Etsy calculations, especially on orders with multiple items, can add up to more than the actual shipping. I will let you know when your order is ready to ship if you will be receiving a shipping refund.
